Chalky Type Paint Recipes

I am so excited about doing the LIVE video with you all exploring different chalk type paint recipes.  I love using Wise Owl in all my stencils as the paint is thicker and has a better consistency to hold its shape while stenciling.  One of the main complaints I read from fellow sign makers is they are fighting constant bleeding with the medium they choose to paint with.

By prepping your wood and choosing the right type of paint, you will have an easier time staying consistent with your quality of work when making your signs.

Last week we talked about prepping your wood.  You can see that video here:

For tomorrow’s live class, we will be using a few different common items to make a thicker, chalky textured type paint.  I have purchased some Un-Sanded Grout, Plaster of Paris, Calcium Carbonate and Baking Soda.

The recipes I will be using are below:

See you tomorrow!!!
